May 12 Update

We've moved the men's over 35 competition from Friday nights to Thursday nights based on feedback we got that men's teams don't want to play on Friday nights.  We've sent out an email to the spring 2020 mens' and coed teams with details and modified the team registration information accordingly.  Because we've committed the balloon fiesta fields for women's over 30 and Sandia coed, the men's over 35 will be at a different location and we'll get that figured out shortly.

7 v 7 playing rules are here.  Some are relevant to coed only.

We've made arrangements to open the complex for another Sunday of scrimmage games on May 16.  NMYSA is finished with state cup but there's still a $5 gate fee to cover labor for the day.  We do not have 60 fields, so some of you will have to play at times other than 9 am.  If you want to join up you have to be a registered team in that May Scrimmage division.  If your team hasn't done that yet its's still open for applications through your Spring 2020 or Summer 2021 folder.

The Players Looking free agent list is open for business again.  Scroll down from here and the info is on the left side of the page under, cleverly enough, the heading that says Players/Teams Looking.  Email us your info and we'll get you posted.

We've opened the portal for summer 2021 team registration. All the information on the summer season is here.  If you are a team who played in Spring 2020 or summer 2019, please submit your registration through your team folder so you can keep your player roster available.  If you are a new team to ASL, click here to go to the team application form new teams.  We have made some significant modifications to the player registration system that will result in us not requiring passcards and will split your annual payment between the annual player affiliation fee that's paid once a year and the fee to actually be on an ASL team.   To read the short version of the new procedure, click here.  To read the long version that actually provides some explanation as to what and why, click here.  Also, you can scroll down on the left to Current Season Info and see the daily posting for today for the first two people who paid their NMSSA Annual Fee.

All play except men's open division will be played at Balloon Fiesta park.  Coed is 7 v 7 and games on Monday through Wednesday will be at 6 pm and 7 pm.  Those nights will accommodate 16 teams.  For Sunday coed we will play late afternoon and we have the park available from 3 pm start to 7 pm start, which will accommodate 40 teams.  Women's over 30 and men's over 35 will be Thursday nights.

We're working to get the over 50 scrimmage group back together.  Stand by while we work that out.  We're looking to have the first game at an apparently unused field in Manchester England, then move around to Madrid (NM) and other world famous cities......

May 9 (please note: Mothers Day) we'll have some empty fields at the complex again for teams who want to arrange scrimmage (as in practice) games (meaning there isn't a referee).  Do not tell us you need to play at 9 am.  The youth scheduled most of the 9 am time slots. We emailed details to all our spring 2020 team reps and Michele texted everyone as well.  Teams need a roster and players to complete the online waiver form if they didn't do it already for May 2 games.  It doesn't matter if they did it in 2020.  It's 2021 now.  Also, there is a $5 gate fee as the complex has been rented by NM Youth Soccer Association.  No, we aren't going to call them and ask them if you can get in free.

We have closed and moved out of our office and no longer have a phone or a physical location for the time being.  Fortunately Sam and Michele are still helping, so if you need to contact us, email us at aslsoc@swcp.com or aslsoccerstaff@gmail.com
